Quick rant alert. You know what sucks? The fact that there is always something to worry about. One moment, you are celebrating the fact that you are done with a phase in your life. The next moment, you are already worrying about the next phase of life and what the future has in store for you. You tell yourself “I can’t wait till I get over this worrying period” and then the period is over and there is something else to get preoccupied about and work on. Over the course of my life, I constantly find myself in a loop of “can’t wait till I get over this worrying period”. Obviously, some worries are bigger than others and just because a person decides to be worry-free doesn’t really mean that there is nothing to worry about. Even in this corona period (yeah, I know I said I wouldn’t talk about corona anymore in my last post), when the mood is all about being relaxed and doing nothing, I can guarantee that each one of us still have something bothering our minds that we feel obliged to attend to. But then again, I guess maybe that is the point of life. The art of moving on and always having to encounter worrying situations in order to be a better person. There are always going to be highs and lows. Some highs might be higher than expected and some lows might be lower than expected but no matter what, it’s important to keep on going. One thing I have realized is that no matter how worried I get about something; it never really makes it go away nor do I feel better about it. Worrying causes overthinking, which just creates more problems. No matter how much I overthink about the future, the future is still guaranteed to have lots of shitty moments (excuse my language) and lots of incredible moments. Heartbreaks and happiness. Hatred and love. Moments of fighting with personal demons and moments of pure joy. So instead of worrying about what the future holds, it is always important to take a moment to breathe. Everyone is going through a personal journey and it is okay if other people do not understand one’s journey thus far because we are all different in one way or the other. It is absolutely okay if it feels like one do not have it all together. It is okay if things do not go as expected. Everyone goes through these moments one way or the other. However, it is important to take a moment to celebrate every little steps. No matter the worries, it’s always going to be alright. Life gets better. And to the person reading this blog, “you are doing amazing, sweetie”.
